Last week, on 28-30 August, the STRATUM team participated in the Euromicro Conference on Digital System Design (DSD). Euromicro is one of the most ancient and prestigious scientific societies (if not the oldest) active in the microprocessors and microsystems research field.
This edition, held in Paris, celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of Pavia represented us with four papers related to our project that will be published in the proceedings of the conference edited by the IEEE Computer Society Press. These papers highlight important advances in the field of hyperspectral imaging and demonstrate STRATUM’s commitment to the use of this imaging modality:
- Laura Quintana conducted a presentation on assessing processing strategies for data from medical hyperspectral acquisition systems.
- Carlos Vega presented a method for inter-band movement compensation in hyperspectral images based on spectral scanning technology.
- Marco Gazzoni gave a presentation on HS2RGB: an encoder approach to transforming hyper-spectral images into enriched RGB images.
- Raquel Leon completed a presentation that provided an overview of the STRATUM project and its current status.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the progress of the STRATUM project to the international scientific community.
The STRATUM team will continue its dedicated efforts to advance the use of hyperspectral imaging and its application in the field of brain cancer.
